🎩 One Tip: Becoming more comfortable with the concept of death
That’s my papa and me.
“Source World” is what I call the “place” our souls go between lives. The Source that began — and Is — everything. Papa returned to Source World yesterday.
I will always love him with all my heart.
The concept of death is fascinating.
If death brings up fear in you, you are certainly not alone. You’re in the majority.
But I invite you to ponder that feeling of fear, and discover its root cause.
Because improving your relationship with death will drastically improve your life.
Are you afraid of losing loved ones? Acknowledge this, as it’s the easiest way to cherish your loved ones now and soak up every second you have together.
Are you afraid of not knowing what’s on the other side? Reflect on the biggest leaps of faith you’ve taken, and how you’ve always ended up exactly where you want to be.
Are you afraid of non-existence? Watch this short story, “The Egg.” This understanding of existence is in line with nearly every culture & civilization over the history of humanity.
It’s very likely you have some combination of these fears, and lump them together in your mind as the thought “I fear death.” If you take the time to explore this fear with curiosity, I promise you’ll learn more about yourself and improve your relationship with the concept of death.
And improving that relationship is a good thing, because death is the only thing guaranteed for you.
Papa, you, me, and everyone else in Source World made it our Nature. And Nature is undefeated. She doesn’t make mistakes.
There are many wonderful tools for exploring death. Journaling, therapy, psychedelics, stoicism, meditation…all these share something in common: spending time with the concept. The tool I’m excited to share today is the WeCroak app.
This is the simplest app I've ever used. Five different quotes about death delivered to your phone every day.
That’s it.
The app is completely free, and it’s one of two apps I allow to send me push notifications on my phone. The other is Skylight, so I miss less sunsets. I’ll write about that one another time.
Below are the quotes I got yesterday. Love you Papa <3
😄 Funny Business
[Dentist waiting room]
Me: [chanting] teeth, teeth-
Other patients: teeth, TEETH
Secretary: [pounding her clipboard] TEETH, TEETH, TEETH!

Of the people I’ve shown this tweet, 50% don’t get it. 50% start laughing hysterically.
📊 Community Poll
Results for last week’s question: Do you wipe your butt standing up or sitting down?
Clearly small sample size is not a factor in this important research, because this is exactly what I expected. 50-50 split. As an upstanding scientist, I’ll be asking this question again next year to see if we can reconfirm the results.
On to this week’s question…
Do you brush the roof of your mouth with your toothbrush? |
My prevailing theory is there are whole families that do, and whole families that don’t. It all depends on what that family dentist was preaching.

What'd you think of this newsletter edition? |
It is not death that a person should fear, but rather they should fear never beginning to live.
